Description
'When I thought of my favourite Spielberg films I'd want my life's adventure to be like, I hoped for maybe Back to the Future or, I don't know, ET, not Jaws.' If there’s one thing Supernova de Loutherbergh is certain about, it’s that her mother is dead. And if there’s one thing she’s not, it’s everything else. Hilarious and heartbreaking, The Adventures of Supernova de Loutherbergh is a one-woman piece exploring grief, growing up and whether nine bananas really do have enough potassium in them to kill a person. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Not an easy show to look at, but she's absolutely amazing.

A compelling and superbly performed one-woman show that had me captivated. Creating a sense of variation and control over the stage is very difficult, but Robyn Hunter makes it look easy. (Bernice Leigh's direction also needs commendation.) It was easy to invest in this character and her story, which is impeccable in both writing and performance.

Absolutely loved it. Terrifically written, performed, and directed. The small space works very well for an intimate experience. I laughed, I cried, and I’d come see this again. If you’re a twenty-something navigating the transition to adulthood and family life, this one’s for you.
