Saw Adam Hess on Friday, last week, must have been an off night as laughs were not coming thick and fast. He was incoherent and rarely got to the end of a gag. 2 people walked out but I stayed hoping the act would improve, sadly it didn't. It may have been a long few weeks at the festival grind but please remember that we all paid to give you the privelege to stand up and tell stories for a living. Not remotely funny.

A star in the making. Adam Hess delivers a comedy packed show which had me in stitches from start to finish. His storytelling brims with humour.

Booked this not really sure who Adam Hess was. Well how lucky were we. Didn’t stop laughing from the moment he started. Suspect we will hear a lot more of Adam in the future so go and see him now

This was a really funny piece of stand up. Adams manner and delivery made me feel like I was sitting in his front room! Even amidst technical failure he was funny. Go and see it.

A real talent and crazy funny

Very funny, charismatic and inventive guy. Great anecdotes and brilliant delivery. We cried with laughter the whole time. We were sitting in the front row, though my wife normally hates this in case she’s picked on (which often happens!) but she got away with it this time. This show really made our day!

Cried with laughter, I didn’t know too much about him before the show but it’s been my favorite stand up gig I’ve seen this year, he’s a whirlwind of jokes and anecdotes. A definite must-see, I couldn’t recommend it enough!

The Skinny (4/5 stars) 63 days ago

Adam Hess is quickly becoming one of the most reliable names at the Edinburgh Fringe. Consistently packing more laughs-per-minute into his show than any other act, Hess breathlessly recounts the first half of anecdotes before spiralling into nonsense and having to berate himself back towards the point. Using relatability as...

At one point in My Grandad Has A Fringe, Adam Hess does a more-than serviceable impression of Michael McIntyre. Which is apt, as some of the material could easily fit into the observational supremo’s set, too, even if Hess delivers it with his typical hyperactive mania that makes Mcintyre’s trademark...

I’VE BEEN following Adam Hess on Twitter for years and have very often found myself laughing out loud or at the very least, letting out an exhale of approval as I’m scrolling down my Twitter feed, his live show was no different.

If this show’s value were calculated in laughs per minute, it would score very well. It is a high-energy, fast-paced romp of quirky observations and anecdotes, most of which focus intensely on the mundane minu...

Theatre Weekly (5/5 stars) 73 days ago

"Adam Hess is one of those comedians you feel like could just walk on stage completely unprepared and absolutely kill for the whole hour. [...] considering the volume and quality of material in this show, it could be pound for pound one of the best shows you could see at Edinburgh this year."
