Curtain rises. George is on stage in front of a packed audience – oh wait. He doesn't remember his lines... or the play... or how he got there. George is pretty sure he's an accountant. Problem is no one seems to agree with him. So he’s thrust on stage and forced to improvise lines he doesn’t know for a play that keeps changing. All the while attempting to navigate his way through a dreamlike (or nightmarish) theatre. A blend of the surreal and the all too relatable, Mercury Theatre Productions brings Christopher Durang’s wacky comedy to life.
