  • Warnings and additional info: Show takes place up until 12:00 25th Aug. Audience members must keep their camera and microphone on the entire time they are in the show. The content of the show is based entirely upon what audience members write.
Please note: customer names will be shared with the performing company. You must have the Zoom downloaded in order to attend and participate. When attending the show, you must wait for the Screen Manager to admit you into the live show. Admittance into the live show is on a first-come, first-served basis, with only 12 windows available at any one time. Doors open promptly at 11:55 BST (UTC+1) on Tuesday, 24 August. Due to limited capacity, booking does not guarantee your immediate entry into the live show on Zoom. Whenever the show is full, you will need to wait for someone to leave before the Screen Manager will admit you, based on the order that you’ve arrived in the Waiting Room. You are strongly encouraged to remain in the Waiting Room and to keep trying until you are admitted. You may remain in the show for as long as you’d like, and you can return as many times as you’d like if you leave on your own accord. When the show is full, you may have to wait to be re-admitted. However, you will be removed from the show by the Screen Manager if your camera and microphone are turned off at any time. You may also be removed for non-engagement. Some examples of non-engagement include, but are not limited to, leaving your window for more than a few minutes – or multiple times over a brief duration – falling asleep, or causing any other disturbance that is not in the spirit of the show. If you are removed at any time, it’s possible you might be re-admitted, but, depending on the nature of your removal, the Screen Manager may choose to deny you re-entry for the remainder of the event with no refund. If you book a ticket for this show but are not granted entry at any point over the full 24-hour duration despite your best efforts to gain admittance, please get back in touch with the Fringe Box Office team.

Description

No breaks! No editing! No sleep! The first 24-hour online show in Edinburgh Fringe history, this live*, interactive, one-time-only extravaganza is the world premiere of a crowdsourced, immersive, multiscreen performance featuring a script written in real-time, anonymously, by you! Nearing the end of a 12-country, 35-city, 170-show virtual world tour (during a global pandemic), performance artist Brian Feldman presents this supersized version of #txtshow, his critically acclaimed, award-winning project; taking place on Zoom and originating from his home in Washington, DC. It’s the best show you’ll write all day! *If it’s not live, it’s not theatre.
