'I am going to write a book about this. The goings on of tonight. The events.' More than two years on from the Manchester Arena terror attack, 10:31, MCR reflects on the impact the tragedy has had on the younger generations, and presents a new verbatim play that mixes voices and stories from different age groups, different backgrounds, different beliefs, and different times.

As an extremely proud Mancunian, I felt the need to see this show especially as I know someone who attended the concert and was badly injured in the Manchester Arena attack

Prior to attending, I had concerns about how the events of that evening would be conveyed and I just hoped above everything that what I was about to see would be respectful to all those affected

I came out after the performance feeling disappointed and a little bit angry

While I didn’t find anything in this show particularly offensive, I don’t think the medium of interpretive dance was the way in which to tell such an emotive story

I found parts of the ‘narrative’ confusing and even though at one point I had tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat it had nothing to do sadly with what I was watching. Playing footage of news reports and witness accounts from the night it happened, as distressing as it was to hear, felt like the only genuine aspect of this performance

I am also disheartened that you did not tell the whole story. Rather than focus on the government reducing the number of police officers perhaps you could have turned to your attention to how the people of Manchester came together after the tragedy as a city united.

I appreciate that you felt that this is a story that should be told but do not feel like you did justice to what happened on that night or after

I was interested to see this show as it was described as giving young people's responses to the Manchester Arena tragedy. There was a considerable amount of physical theatre/contemporary dance in the piece and I didn't feel this enabled me to discern young people's responses and reactions. I expected more narrative and more diverse views. It would have been useful to hear how the lives of a variety of young Mancunians have been affected. I didn't leave understanding anything about the experience of young Muslims in Greater Manchester over the past two years, for example. I do think we need to hear the voices of young people more, but I didn't learn anything from this. I took my twenty year old niece, thinking she would relate to it, but she didn't really. It was well acted and danced and thoughtfully presented.

It is a deep shame that a genuinely talented physical theatre troupe would choose a topic so distinctly distasteful. Those who call it a respectful portrayal were clearly not affected themselves by the Manchester attacks; as neither were the group who pride themselves on being all from Essex. I would not reccomend this to anyone with connections to Manchester as I think they will find it distressing. It truly is a sad portrayal of the way in which tragedies are used for their sensationalistic qualities. Children died. This is too soon.

As someone who does not usually enjoy physical theatre, I would strongly recommend this show to anyone, regardless of their feelings toward physical theatre. It was utterly touching to watch and I felt myself being swept into the beautifully choreographed movements; I could have stayed watching for longer. The actors were fantastic from start to finish, with the sound design bringing the show together. Clearly a lot of thought was put into this. Overall, a wonderful tribute to those who were victims of the Manchester attacks. Good job!

This was such a worthwhile watch. The actors bring an incredible amount of energy and emotion on stage and the soundscape is brilliant and makes the show! I would definitely recommend going to see it. A wonderful and touch tribute to the tragic event. Well done to the cast and crew!

This show is beautiful on a lot of levels. The direction and sound design make for a stunning visual and auditory experience. This is a touching and respectful dedication that is well worth going to see.

The performance was moving, from beginning to end. It’s clear the actors put everything into their performances, and the writer/director had put a huge amount of energy and research into the development of the piece.

It definitely felt like a story that needed telling, and this version of events really did it justice - especially in bringing to light all the different stories that came before, during and after that evening, from many different perspectives through the verbatim and movement.

And to top it all off, the fact that the performance is supported by Liv’s Trust, and the group are raising funds for the charity to, is an additional way they’ve given back to the people that these stories come from.

I was very excited to see the premiere of this show after the reviews I saw for their London show!

The show was very sensitive in their approach of such a complex and horrific story. I was really interested by the use of movements to convey some many different individual stories that collided on that day to create this overall powerful and moving picture.

The actors were great and really delicately conveyed the story.

I was moved by the story but also really enjoyed the wider picture that was added through the socio-political challenges of the time!

A must watch!

Watched the opening performance today and the only word that springs to mind is offensive.

The players did an admiral job in this performance and I have no issue with them.

But seriously who thought that portraying some of the excitement of the chidren going to see Ariana Grandes concert in Manchester before they were maimed and killed was creative. As a Manc I found this extremely offensive.

Also the backing track of the news reports and interviews and some of the verbatim dialogue may be triggering for any one of us who actually lived through this attack.

Perhaps if this subject had been handled by a troup from Manchester who had lived through the events and aftermath it may have been handled more sensitively but given the complete lack of empathy for those of us affected by the events in Manchester I was left appalled and offended.
