Description

This sequel to 1 Ball Show began three months after the 2022 Fringe favourite ended it's sold-out run, when NYC comedian Terence Hartnett (Caroline's on Broadway) found out that his testicular cancer had spread to his lung. Chemo sucks and so does losing a lung, but if you can't laugh, you might as well be dead already. 'Insightful, emotional, and laugh-out-loud funny!' (Comedy Clubhouse).

Both heartwarming & educational… oh & let’s not forget, V funny too! Certainly not heavy ~ but an accessibly open, warm & oft hilarious tale of Terence’s experiences as someone who’s had cancer in a gonad and a lung. I learned stuff as well as laughed a lot. Yup, some sexual content as you’d imagine given the content, but without the prurience or filth or disrespect some comedians chuck around. Go see Terence if you’ve been affected by cancer or have a desire to hear an emotional tale of why we need to live our best lives while we can… or simply need a good laugh from a smooth operator. Chatted afterwards w/ Terence ~ lovely fella & we wished each other the best. Oh, I should add there’s a non-compulsory but useful playful free* gift to collect at the end if you wish it (*or for a wee donation) ⚽️

1 Ball Show: 1 Lung Less is not just a great fringe show, it is a phenomenal hour of stand up comedy. Terence Hartnett writes perfect jokes, and still tells a narrative that is honest, heartfelt, raw, and above all else, funny. I am sure a million comedians have brought a million "shows about cancer" to Fringe over the years, but this one is truly a cut above the rest. Go see it immediately.
