Mark Nicholas was not the autistic I was looking for, but he was the autistic I needed to see. Great show!

Mark's creativity and passion for raising awareness through sharing his experiences growing up with autism shined through. No spoilers but the inclusion of his mom's point of view added an additional dimension to the show that made it unique. Through his enthusiasm, act outs and strong storytelling, Mark created a compelling debut hour that is worth seeing!
Full disclosure: I am a friend of Mark's but this review reflects my experience in watching the show and is as objective as possible.

STRONG WITH THE FORCE MARK IS!
Mark as a fellow Âûtie is a tour-de-force masterclass of what disabled led comedy truly is, and may I add, a proper top bloke and friend! He says he not an “inspiration”, but in my opinion, he surely does influence and makes me proud to be part of a community that stands by each other - SOLIDARITY FOREVER!
Mark’s show This Is Not The Autistic You’re Looking For is a class act of Epic proportions, a polished piece of performance and a total LAUGH OUT LOUD masterpiece
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Saw Mark’s show today and really enjoyed it. A good sized venue. Mark had a nice calm, clear presenting style and some really good jokes to boot. Like many acts attending the fringe it can be a costly expense early in their career and I urge people to turn up and support Mark and his show

A very enjoyable show. Mark covers a wide range of personal experiences, from relationships with parents, school and work, and all linked through with a Star Wars theme.
As well as being very funny, it's an accessible show for autistic audiences, with encouragement to stim, and a range of sensory devices are offered at the beginning of the show.

First up, I loved that this was a relaxed performance with a box of fidget tools available for audience members to borrow - it was definitely the most accessible show I've seen so far this Fringe.
If you like cheesy puns and repetition for comedic effect (which I definitely do) then you'll enjoy this show. However, none of the jokes really layered with each other to create deeper or more unique punchlines, so your mileage may vary depending on taste. 2.5/5 stars.

Whether you have no prior knowledge of Autism, are an expert or have it yourself, go and see Mark’s hilarious show. In a world where more people are being diagnosed, Mark cleverly depicts how society stereotypes autism - and how we shouldn’t, with brilliant puns and witty catch lines to keep you laughing your socks off.

Saw this today, laughed until I was choking at times!
A small audience as it's the start of the Fringe, but Mark worked with this and drew the audience in. Highly recommend this show - especially if you're autistic
