When an improv show has a group of performers who have only met a few minutes before the show begins, those performers need to be excellent. Sadly, on the show that I saw the performers included some that were not as good as some improv 101 students I've seen.

If a performer says "oh look a whale!" there are a million good options for a response, but "I'm not a whale, I'm a volcano!" might be the worst option. And this is before they started reading the lines from the hat (and completely ignoring the Emotional Zones game that was layered on but never referenced again). This was the only show that I left early, and I should've left earlier.
