Description
Gary Lynch is Ireland's leading mid-life-crisis comedian. Admittedly self-proclaimed. He's not sure what happened in his life, or if he was even paying attention for most of it. What he does know is that he can't remember getting to 60 years old, when just 25 minutes ago he was 12, and only discovering that girls smelled better than boys. Come help him work out how the world went from black and white to colour, without anybody asking his opinion. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. One of the (if not THE) highlights of the 2024 Fringe for me.
Gary's easy rapport with the audience is one of the best I've seen in years. The jokes and ad-libs were hilarious. I've been checking my own stomach to see which part has remained more youthful than the rest. The observational humour was so nail on the head. Deeper indeed (You have to see it to understand that).
Absolute blast from start to finish. Shout out to Terry O'Neill for setting the scene so well before Gary's extraordinary entrance.
Keep an eye out for his gigs.

The most underrated comedian I've ever seen. Have seen Gary countless times and he leaves me in hysterics each time!

Gary's show was funny, rude (at times) and a good laugh as well as being value for money. You have to be happy to sit in a small, enclosed space and to join in, once over this hurdle you can enjoy an hour's worth of decent stand-up just don't him seriously!

Gary is what the Fringe is about. Discovering huge laughter in small places. Unassuming brilliance. My act of the Fringe so far (Gary I was the one that not only knew your intro music but was also your living Welsh mythical creature).

Don't be fooled by the dusky chestnut barnet that belies his years, this show is not Just for Men...
Really enjoyed Gary's show. Played to a tight audience Gary plays off the room and makes the show very interactive. From lighthearted observational humour to dark challenging bits Gary keeps you on your guard throughout.
Well worth a visit

For many people being in a small room with a comedian and a handful of other audience members is a terrifying prospect. However, Gary embraced this small, intimate, show and it felt like you were down the local with your funniest mate laughing till your jaw ached and reminiscing about the good times, thanks to his vast knowledge of the UK and pop culture. Cannot recommend highly enough, you need to get down and see Gary.

Gary put on a very funny show, talking to those there to watch him and getting us all involved in his act. Would go to see him again, thanks for the laughs!
