Description

The Alternative Book Club presents a stand-up comedy compilation show about books, where there is absolutely NO required reading. Prepare to be entertained – and informed – by a phenomenal line up of award-winning comics and brilliant friends who will be dissecting anything Lit: from John Milton’s Paradise Lost to Kim Kardashian’s Selfie, and everything in between. All hosted by Shirley Halse. 'A quintessential Fringe experience' (Scotsman). 'A wonderfully entertaining concept.' (Alex Farrow, director of Jericho Comedy).

We attended the first show of the run and thoroughly enjoyed the performance, it's a mixture of stand-up. sketches, PowerPoint humour (who knew that was a thing), and really felt that the cast put their heart and soul into it. There is a bookish theme, but really it's fairly incidental to the show.
