Food/Drink

Opened in 1964 by Sir Sean Connery as the first licensed cinema bar in Edinburgh, our bar has become the place not only to talk about film, but also to meet and greet, relax and read, get on with some work, make use of the Wi-Fi, enjoy a game of Jenga, munch a stromboli, feast on a slice of cake or work your way through our carefully chosen selection of beverages. Williams Draught, Estrella and Black Rat Cider are on tap as well as our stylish and eclectic selection of bottled beers. If you prefer wine but can’t decide which one, we’ll provide you with tasters to help you choose. We are proud members of the Union of Genius soup revolution and purveyors of super Stromboli from our neighbours The Breadwinner Bakery. We’ve also welcomed Lo Spuntino into the fold with their quintessential quiches and perfect pizza. If you're after a light snack, we make fresh dips on-site and serve them with either crisp tortilla chips, warm pitta bread or oat cakes. We welcome the littlest customers till 8.00 every night and we are more than accommodating of well-behaved canine customers too!

Age Limit
